Interesting report
Cell phone sales up 22 percent
In first quarter 2010
How is that impacting your marketing?

Associated Press is reporting cell phone sales are up 22 percent in 2010's first quarter. I'd be willing to bet most of these are smartphones. Recently presented to a prospect targeting the teen market. The prospect wanted to use traditional media while I recommended smartphone apps. The local NBC television sales consultant said you would not reach teens with broadcast advertising, but the prospect decided to blow $200,000 per month with another company buying television advertising. Smart marketing - for the 20th Century.

Addendum - Cell phone manufacturer Samsung reports a profit surge six fold during the same quarter, reporting $4-trillion(!) in income in three months. You're still operating with 20th Century marketing tools?
