Taylor Swift more famous than Miley Cyrus?
21st Century marketing is a daily chore
Twitter pushes Swift ahead of Cyrus
If you’ve watched the news in the past week, you’ve seen Taylor Swift everywhere. How about Miley Cyrus? More than likely, no. Cyrus is in the middle of a concert tour that seems to be getting no attention.
Britney Spears is halfway across the planet and still drawing more attention than Cyrus.
Why are Swift and Spears able to get so much attention and Cyrus has pretty much disappeared?
Welcome to 21st Century marketing – Twitter! Both Swift and Spears are on Twitter daily, while Cyrus decided to opt out of utilizing the 21st Century’s greatest marketing tool.
Has your organization made the same mistake on 21st Century marketing tools?
As for who is more popular, let’s look at Cyrus versus Swift. In 2007, Cyrus sold out a concert tour in one-half hour. She was unable to repeat that in 2009. Swift sold out her 2010 tour in 20 minutes.
