Church loses appeal; can't feed the poor

The Arizona Republic reports, feeding the homeless at a place of worship can be banned by city ordinance. The decision affects all Phoenix churches with underlying residential zoning.

The city has been laying off its staff due to budget woes. Now those laid off can't even get a meal.
