U.S. as a nation unraveling

From Wikipedia: “Idolatry is usually defined as worship of any cult image, idea, or object, as opposed to the worship of a monotheistic God. It is considered a major sin in the Abrahamic religions whereas in religions where such activity is not considered as sin, the term "idolatry" itself is absent. Which images, ideas, and objects, constitute idolatry, and which constitute reasonable worship, is a matter of contention with some religious authorities and groups using the term to describe certain other religions apart from their own.”

Today I watched Paris Michael Jackson call her departed father, “best father ever.” My thoughts were how can someone who abandoned his very young children through overdosing on drugs be the best father ever?

This weekend on Twitter I learned of one father’s anguish as his son, Aaron, was killed in Afghanistan.

I have said the war in Afghanistan would end this nation the same way it ended the USSR. Michael Jackson’s death amplifies that belief.

A man named Aaron lost his life fighting for freedom. No one noticed. Another man abused drugs and took his own life, leaving behind three innocent children. The world mourned for more than half-a-month. We’re still not through. His estate made millions in music sales.

The national media heaped praise upon praise this man who took his life through drug abuse. Not a word about Aaron who died fighting for freedom.

These are signs of a decaying, decadent society. Is it right? Again, watch the movie Charlie Wilson’s War and put the U.S. in USSR’s place.

What happened to those who protested the war in Vietnam? That’s why our nation is doomed – we’ve lost our conscious and our soul – plus our jobs and our economy; same as USSR when it fought needlessly in Afghanistan.
