NBC News loves Marketing Sociologist blog

On March 12, 2009, NBC Evening news ran with this story – Homeless Park in Venice Beach. Ironic, since Venice is where I spend many summer weekends.

Think they got the idea from the March 2 (10 days before NBC story) Marketing Sociologist post, “Creative financial knowledge to get through the depression”? In the post, it states, “With cell phones and wireless broadband, this is as good as any home. I could park on the beach and have an inexpensive beach home – why pay millions for a beach home when I can use this?”

Gee, wonder where NBC got the idea to do a story on parking a camper shell/RV on the beach and connecting it to our economy. At least they could have attributed the idea to this story and allow me to speak at their conventions at their regular fees for those. Thank you for the distinction, NBC News! How may we help you?

Almost forgot this. In the words of my dear, departed Bedouin mother, “Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.”
