Daughtry dies in Arizona
Another American Idol takes a hit
More knowing the music industry too well

Seems American Idiot contestants aren’t getting a break. Jordin Sparks’ CD stiffs and Daughtry needs to cancel a show in a 1,000 capacity theater in Arizona, citing “the show has been postponed because singer has come down with viral laryngitis.”

According to numerous sources, the Marquee Theatre in Tempe has a capacity of 1,000. Yet Daughtry reportedly performed the previous evening on the Jimmy Kimmel Show and are set for Los Angeles on Wednesday. No reported cancel there.

The show’s cancellation is one week to the Tuesday following Bob Dylan, John Mellencamp and Willie Nelson cancelling due to “heat.”

Seems Dylan and Daughtry are really suffering from the same thing, lack of ticket sales.

Update - 4 p.m. 8-19-9 Daughtry still on for Los Angeles' Henry Fonda Theatre. Makes you wonder when someone can't sell enough at a 1,000 capacity site. Used the same throat excuse Nov. 13, 2007 in Kenosa, Wisc. In the business world, we call it the loser's limp.
